No experience, Marketing Coordinator
Dear Hiring Manager,
When I saw that Brightline Media was hiring a Marketing Coordinator, I read the posting twice because it described exactly the kind of work I have been building toward through my degree and side projects. I recently graduated with a marketing degree, and while this would be my first full time role, I have spent the last two years getting hands on rather than just reading about the field.
As social media lead for my university entrepreneurship society, I grew our Instagram following from 400 to just over 3,100 in a single academic year by planning a simple content calendar and testing what actually got saved and shared. I also ran a small email newsletter that reached a 38 percent open rate, well above the student club average, because I wrote subject lines like a person and not a committee. Those numbers are modest, but they taught me how to plan campaigns, read analytics, and adjust quickly.
What draws me to Brightline specifically is your focus on small brands that cannot afford to waste a dollar. That constraint is where I do my best thinking. I am organized, I hit deadlines, and I genuinely enjoy the unglamorous parts of marketing like tagging assets and keeping a content calendar tidy.
I would love to bring that energy to your team and learn from marketers who do this at a professional level. Thank you for considering my application, and I would welcome the chance to talk about how I can support your campaigns.
Sincerely, Maya Ellison
